I have lived in Farnborough all my life and attended St Patricks as a child. I have just seen my eldest through St Patricks and I now have 1 son in the juniors and one in infants so my journey with St Patricks feels like it is beginning again in some way. Before having my last child I worked for The Royal Mencap Society for many years before becoming a child minder which I now do full time as well as studying for a diploma in early years. In my ‘spare time’ when I’m not at the side of a football pitch watching my sons play or in the middle of the woods watching my husband compete in mountain bike races, I am in my 4th year of being a catechist for the First Holy Communion programme at Our lady Help of Christians which I enjoy immensely.

To fill my time, I am a childminder and complete telephone interviews for a Professional Services firm. I am a member of the Personnel and Pay Committee and enjoy being able to help wherever I can at St Patricks. In my spare time I enjoy jogging, zumba classes and making and decorating cakes.

Born in Manchester, the second of four siblings, I became a Salesian in 1979 and was ordained priest in 1990.  My three brothers are married and gainfully employed with family life.  Much of my Salesian and priestly ministry has been in parishes; most recently as parish priest at Sacred Heart Battersea and since August 2015, here at Our Lady Help of Christians, Farnborough.  As both parish priest and a governor, I am looking forward to contributing to the life and development of St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary school.

As a Forces child, I could not really say where I am ‘from’.  Although we have a long standing family connection with the area, our frequent moves never took us to Farnborough and I never attended St Patrick’s myself.  My children, however, are the third generation of our family to do so. I studied Chemistry at Oxford University.  After graduating, I trained as an accountant and have nearly 20 years’ financial management experience in both the financial services and IT sectors. My wife and I moved to Farnborough from SW London shortly after getting married in 2006.  Both of our boys also attended St Patrick’s Pandas Pre-School where, until recently, I was a Parent Member of the Management Committee.  In my spare time, I enjoy running (slowly), brewing my own beer and urging on my team, Swindon Town FC, from the stands.

I grew up in Surrey and trained to be a doctor at Southampton University, where I met my husband, John who was an RAF engineer and then a teacher.  I was a family doctor in Coningsby, Lincolnshire and then in Sutton, Surrey until early retirement in 2013.  Looking for fresh challenges we moved to Farnborough where we have been bust renovating our house.  We have three grown up children and a grandson.  I am enjoying learning to be a governor and getting to know everyone at St Patrick’s and the parish of Our Lady Help of Christians.

I grew up in Norfolk as the youngest of 3 siblings, I attended Hethersett Old Hall School and Wymondham College before moving to Sussex to undertake a degree in Social Policy.I have over 15 years’ experience of working with Parliament and the government developing legislation for large infrastructure projects in the UK. I have successfully delivered legislation for major rail projects such as Crossrail and High Speed Two.

After completing my degree I continued to live in Brighton where I met my Dutch Husband. We moved to Hampshire shortly before marrying in 2006.  We have 2 sons both attend St Patricks, my youngest attended Panda’s pre-school where I am still a member of the management committee.

In my spare time, when I am not being a taxi for the boys, I enjoy cycling and swimming.  At work I am also an ambassador for STEM, this involves giving talks to schools and colleges encouraging girls to consider subjects and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths

I grew up in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire and received a Catholic Education at Our Lady’s Primary School and Loreto College, St Albans. I studied Chemistry at Southampton University where I met my husband. We completed our PhDs and then joined the IT Industry as Software Engineers. We moved to Fleet in 1985 and I took a ten year career break to look after our three sons who went to St Joseph’s Primary School, Aldershot and All Hallows Secondary School, Weybourne.  I returned to work and became a Project Manager delivering bespoke software solutions to the UK Government. My husband and I recently retired and I became Parish Administrator in Fleet whilst studying for an MA in Theology at St Mary’s, Twickenham. My husband was elected as an Independent Hart District Councillor for Fleet Central Ward. We now have two granddaughters. My MA dissertation is entitled ‘Do we need a Catholic Primary School in Fleet’ and this work has inspired me to apply for the role of School Governor.

I was born in Hayes, Middlesex and have lived in Farnborough since 1990 when my husband, who was serving in the Royal Air Force, was posted to the RAE Farnborough.  We had previously spent three years in Naples at the NATO base there.  I have two grown up daughters who both attended St Patrick’s.  I have worked at the school since 1998 and am currently employed as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Senior Lunchtime Supervisor.  In my spare time I like to read and do cross-stitch.  Being at the school has motivated me to continue studying and I have completed a Foundation Degree in Learning Support, Diploma in Child Psychology and am currently doing a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am looking forward to the challenges of the role.
