Born in Manchester, the second of four siblings, I became a Salesian in 1979 and was ordained priest in 1990.  My three brothers are married and gainfully employed with family life.  Much of my Salesian and priestly ministry has been in parishes; most recently as parish priest at Sacred Heart Battersea and since August 2015, here at Our Lady Help of Christians, Farnborough.  As both parish priest and a governor, I am looking forward to contributing to the life and development of St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary school.

As a Forces child, I could not really say where I am ‘from’.  Although we have a long standing family connection with the area, our frequent moves never took us to Farnborough and I never attended St Patrick’s myself.  My children, however, are the third generation of our family to do so. I studied Chemistry at Oxford University.  After graduating, I trained as an accountant and have nearly 20 years’ financial management experience in both the financial services and IT sectors. My wife and I moved to Farnborough from SW London shortly after getting married in 2006.  Both of our boys also attended St Patrick’s Pandas Pre-School where, until recently, I was a Parent Member of the Management Committee.  In my spare time, I enjoy running (slowly), brewing my own beer and urging on my team, Swindon Town FC, from the stands.

I grew up in Surrey and trained to be a doctor at Southampton University, where I met my husband, John who was an RAF engineer and then a teacher.  I was a family doctor in Coningsby, Lincolnshire and then in Sutton, Surrey until early retirement in 2013.  Looking for fresh challenges we moved to Farnborough where we have been bust renovating our house.  We have three grown up children and a grandson.  I am enjoying learning to be a governor and getting to know everyone at St Patrick’s and the parish of Our Lady Help of Christians.

I was born in Hayes, Middlesex and have lived in Farnborough since 1990 when my husband, who was serving in the Royal Air Force, was posted to the RAE Farnborough.  We had previously spent three years in Naples at the NATO base there.  I have two grown up daughters who both attended St Patrick’s.  I have worked at the school since 1998 and am currently employed as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Senior Lunchtime Supervisor.  In my spare time I like to read and do cross-stitch.  Being at the school has motivated me to continue studying and I have completed a Foundation Degree in Learning Support, Diploma in Child Psychology and am currently doing a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am looking forward to the challenges of the role.

I have lived in Farnborough all my life, and attended St Patrick’s myself. I have one child at the school and one due to start in September 2018. I work part time as a qualified Nursery Nurse, stepping down from my Deputy Manager role when I had children. As well as being a governor at the school, I am involved with the PTA and in my spare time I like to read, swim and go for family days out.

Born in Glasgow, I have lived in and around Farnborough since 1959. I spent most of my working life involved with computers in one form or another starting when computers were housed in large, air conditioned rooms and had less power than the watch you now wear on your wrist. I have been involved with St Patricks off and on since 1983 as a parent, grandparent, PTA member and governor for a short time in the 90s. I spent 11 years as a Governor at Salesian College and have been a Trustee at Knellwood Residential and Nursing Home for the past 15 years.

Having moved around for much of my life I eventually ended up living in Yateley with my husband and three sons and a neurotic rescue border Collie. My sons all went to St Bernadette’s Cove and then onto All Hallows in Farnham. I have an engineering degree and worked in industry for a number of years. I then trained to be a maths teacher and have been teaching in Catholic secondary schools for most of my teaching life.  I now have the joy of teaching at Salesian College, Farnborough. In my spare time I research the genealogy of my family, especially trying to fill in the background stories of their lives for example using newspapers. I am also involved in my local parish of St Swithun’s in Yateley.

Born in Hertfordshire, but now Berkshire has been my home for the past twenty years. I have managed to travel with my husband and live in America and Germany giving me opportunities to travel across Europe, learn German and also travel across California. My husband’s family originate from Farnborough so I feel I know the local schools. We have spent many years following our boys on various cricket pitches, early morning sessions at swimming pools and tennis courts. My family are important to me, but so is my passion for teaching.  I have been involved in both KS1 and KS2 for the last sixteen years with the last ten years focusing on special educational needs.  In my spare time, I enjoy walking, cooking, reading and skiing.
